Helen Gamon Award

The Helen Gamon Award is presented to the highest scoring Chartreux in Championship at the CFA International Show each year.

Helen Gamon (1913-1993), born in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, married her husband John in 1936. They traveled to France in 1970 and imported the first Chartreux to the United States. Helen’s efforts to establish and promote the Chartreux breed were central to the breed’s acceptance in North American registries, including CFA. The Helen Gamon award is given in her honor.
